Welcome to Lauderdale Primary School

Lauderdale Primary School was established in 1965 and is located on the outskirts of the town of Lauderdale, approximately 20km from the city of Hobart. The student population is drawn from Lauderdale and the surrounding areas including Sandford, Cremorne, Acton, Seven Mile Beach and Oakdowns.  The 2021 class structure consists of 26 classes including 5 Kindergarten classes.  100 children are enrolled in our Launching into Learning Program which caters for Pre-Toddler, Toddler and Pre-Kinder aged children.

Our school features specialised enrichment programs which include STEAM, Music, Health and Physical Education.  Our school grounds are extensive for encouraging physical activity, in addition to this a full size modern sports centre is a feature of our school.  The sports centre can also be hired to the general public for after school hour’s sports and activities.

Lauderdale's motto and vision is "Connecting Community, Creating Futures" and our mission is "to provide every student at Lauderdale with opportunities to continue to learn and reach their potential and to contribute positively to the wider school community."

Our schools values are "High Expectation Culture, Learning, Excellence, Equity, Respect, Relationships." These are expanded through the statements "we engage all students through quality teaching and learning," "we value a supportive, caring and respectful community," and "we nurture the development of positive relationships and embrace diversity."
